SUNDAY

Today is beautiful.  The sun is perfectly herself and birds all know their favorite songs.  Songs I never knew I always had are playing.   There is iced coffee.  One striped white and blue dress and a 70s polka dot silk blouse have been on the clothesline for three days.  They’ll come inside when its time.  Today I want to take time to do things I must.  Like that stretch I just stretched.  There is no rush.  Earlier I walked carrying kale, eggs and fake cream cheese in a brown paper bag.  I heard what I thought was the Lords Prayer which actually turned out to be a choir of small children singing along to a rap song on the radio.  A tall man in a beige suit and dark skin laughed and I laughed.  We laughed.  And if that is the highlight of my day, I am still pleased.  I have eight hundred and seven minutes to feel all the things id like to feel today.
